The last thing that Christelle Durandy remembers before waking up in the intensive care unit was playing peekaboo with a toddler behind Brava Theater’s dark blue curtains.
It was a Sunday in late March 2025, and the vocalist, percussionist and arranger was starting another creatively charged day working as music director on a new production with the percussive dance ensemble La Mezcla.
