Manhunt underway in California county park for attempted murder suspect

Authorities in Santa Clara County have launched an intensive search for an attempted murder suspect, identified as Christopher Croul, announced by the Santa Clara County Sheriff on Saturday evening. Croul was last seen on the 6000 block of Mt. Madonna Road near Gilroy.

Considered armed and dangerous, Christopher Croul has prompted law enforcement to issue a public appeal for information on his whereabouts. As of the latest update at 7:17 p.m., the sheriff’s office has suspended the search near Mt. Madonna Park due to “lighting and terrain conditions,” and the park will remain closed for the night.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about Croul or the circumstances surrounding the attempted murder case. The initial tweet from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office was posted at 5:54 p.m., urging the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.
