Patrick Mahomes wins third Super Bowl MVP after Chiefs beat 49ers

The Kansas City Chiefs did it again. They are Super Bowl Champions for the fourth time and are now a dynasty.

The Chiefs were able to come back from down 10 points, just like they did last year, just like they did against the San Francisco 49ers in the first Super Bowl win in this era, and just like they do so often in any other game.

How did they do this one, though? They did it the same way they have won every Super Bowl: through Patrick Mahomes, who is a Super Bowl MVP for a third time now.

According to The Athletic, Mahomes is the first player in the four major North American sports leagues to capture three championship game MVPs in his first seven seasons.

Mahomes went 34/46, threw for 333 yards, and threw two touchdowns, including the game-winner and, of course, an interception we don’t have to talk about. Now, he is on a trajectory to become the greatest player of all time. All he needed was this third ring and third Super Bowl ring.
