Pleasanton woman arrested for stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute

( KRON ) — A woman suspected of stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute has been arrested, the Pleasanton Police Department said. Pleasanton PD got a call around 12:30 p.m. Monday from a woman who reported she’d stabbed her husband during an altercation.

Officers responded to the scene at an apartment complex located in the 4900 block of Owens Drive. They found the husband suffering from an apparent stab wound and rendered aid.

He was taken to a trauma center and remains in critical condition, police said. The woman was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail on charges that include attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and felony domestic violence.

Pleasant PD is declining to release the names of the husband and wife due to the ongoing investigation and confidentiality laws related to domestic violence cases.

“This isolated case of domestic violence is actively under investigation, and the police department extends its support to the affected family during this challenging period,” Pleasanton PD said.
