Los Angeles and San Francisco Named Among California’s Rudest Cities

A recent study by Clever Real Estate has identified Los Angeles and San Francisco as two of the rudest cities in California, ranking 4th and 6th respectively on a national list. This revelation adds to the ongoing conversation about urban etiquette in the Golden State.

The survey, which highlights trends among American cities known for their brusque behavior, indicates that many respondents associate rudeness with large, bustling metropolitan areas where residents often feel pressed for time and less inclined to engage in acts of kindness.

Alongside LA and San Francisco, the list features cities like Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and Buffalo, New York. Notably, New York City has earned the title of the rudest city in America, with New York State following closely behind as the rudest state overall.

Clever Real Estate noted that the cold demeanor often associated with cities in the North and Northeast might be exacerbated by the high-stress, fast-paced environments typical of densely populated areas. “The blunt communication and impatient behavior prevalent in these cities can come across as unfriendly,” the report stated.
