Blustery wind subsides across Northern California easing some Red Flag fears

The San Francisco Bay Area continues to experience very dry weather as a lingering dry airmass remains in place following recent offshore winds. However, much of the high winds have subsided, with the highest recorded speed this morning at Mt. St. Helena only reaching 16 mph.

Humidity levels have shown some improvement, with increases of 5-35% in various locations. Despite the rise in moisture, fire danger remains high due to the overall dry conditions. Red Flag Warnings have not been issued, as the calmer winds reduce the immediate fire threat.

Looking ahead, moisture levels are expected to increase throughout the week as onshore flow returns to normal. Coastal areas and higher elevations could see light drizzle by Monday, with slight chances of rain in the North Bay by the end of the week, especially around Thursday night into Friday. However, forecasts remain uncertain and will be monitored closely.
