(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating an armed robbery Monday afternoon that involved a group of several suspects.

Oakland PD said the incident occurred in the 6200 block of La Salle Avenue, just before 12:30 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that “multiple individuals (one armed with a firearm)” confronted the victim and demanded their property.
After the victim gave up their belongings out of fear, police said the suspects fled the area in their car. There was no description provided by OPD for the suspected vehicle.
