( KRON ) — A San Jose man accused in a series of road rage incidents was arrested Tuesday for assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a firearm, according to authorities. The San Jose Police Department identified the suspect as 36-year-old Steven Robles.
San Jose officers responded on Feb. 27 at 4:50 p.m. to the area of North Bascom Avenue and West San Carlos Street on the report of a road rage incident. According to investigators, the victim had honked their horn at Robles after Robles nearly merged into the victim’s vehicle. After the honk, police said Robles drove alongside the victim, pointed a firearm at them, and caused the victim to drive against oncoming traffic.

In a separate road rage incident on March 29 in the area of North First Street and East Brokaw Road, authorities said Robles backed his vehicle into another victim’s vehicle before proceeding to ram the vehicle head-on.
Arrest and search warrants were obtained for Robles and his San Jose residence after he was identified as the suspect, SJPD said.
