( KRON ) — The cab of a big rig caught fire on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 580 in Dublin on Wednesday afternoon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near El Charro Road.

Multiple agencies including the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and the Alameda County Fire Department responded to the incident. According to Livermore-Pleasanton FD, crews arrived to find the cab’s engine compartment fully involved with flames, which spread to nearby vegetation.
Two engines, one truck, and one water tender responded to the fire, which was knocked down in just 10 minutes. The fire was prevented from reaching the truck’s trailer and no injuries were reported.
Photos from the scene showed firefighters responding as a heavy plume of black smoke and visible flames leaped from the cab of the truck. There was no immediate word on what started the fire…
