‘Senseless act of violence’: Bay Area man shot and killed, suspect at large

The suspected shooter of a 40-year-old man in Sunnyvale remains at large almost one week later, officials said.

Police were dispatched shortly before 7:45 p.m. on May 29 after receiving reports of multiple gunshots, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said in a news release. Once they arrived at the 900 block of South Wolfe Road, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds and tried to save his life, but the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
