A new Sprouts Farmers Market is slated to open in a Bay Area city next week.
Sprouts is set to open its latest Bay Area storefront on June 27 at 2201 W. Leland Road in Pittsburg within the Shoppes at San Marco. To celebrate the grand opening, Sprouts plans to host a pop-up party from Friday to Sunday with contests and events. Giveaways that include free reusable goodie bags for the first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday are also planned. The first 400 guests who arrive on Friday will additionally receive long-stemmed roses, according to a news release by the grocer.
The 23,000-square-foot grocery store has been in the works since 2023, when the city of Pittsburg celebrated the new store’s groundbreaking. During the ceremony, Chamber of Commerce CEO Wolfgang Croskey described the city of Pittsburg as a “food desert” and shared his gratitude for the grocery store location given the challenges of securing a grocery store in the area, Contra Costa News previously reported…
