Fremont, CA, June 23, 2025: A longstanding family-owned jewelry business in Fremont was the target of a t smash-and-grab burglary last week, leaving the local community shaken.
According to Fremont Police, approximately 15 masked suspects used a car to ram through the front entrance of Kumar Jewelers on Mowry Avenue around 5:30 p.m., just as the store was preparing to close. The suspects then stormed inside, using hammers to smash glass display cases and steal tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry. The entire burglary unfolded in less than a minute.
Three people were inside the store at the time—two owners and an employee. No injuries were reported…
