As Independence Day approaches, the Alameda Police Department has announced a significant bust in the ongoing battle against illegal fireworks. According to a social media post by Alameda PD, an anonymous tip sparked an investigation that discovered a storage unit filled with over 1,500 units of illicit fireworks, some professional-grade, in Alameda. This substantial find has been confirmed by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad to be the largest in Alameda County this year.
