Milpitas, CA, July 8, 2025: A collective sigh of relief was felt in the South Bay community after 9-year-old Harshail Kumar, who had been reported missing since the morning of July 3, was found safe and unharmed, according to Milpitas police.
The update came around 2:10 p.m. Friday, when police confirmed to NBC Bay Area that the young boy had been located. No further details were immediately released regarding where Harshail was found or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Harshail was last seen around 10 a.m. Thursday near the Edge Apartments at 765 Montague Expressway, close to the Great Mall in Milpitas.
