An Oakland woman, Yasmin Charisse Millett, 22, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for her role in a series of bank robberies across California. Millett participated in at least 10 robberies between June 2023 and September 2024 in cities such as Sacramento, Vallejo, Suisun City, Benicia, Concord, and Antioch, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Court records state that Millett led a group involved in bank robberies by directing others to enter banks wearing sunglasses and carrying purses to pass demand notes to tellers. The notes included threats such as “I will kill everyone in here.” On July 17, 2023, Millett used a stolen white Audi A7 during a robbery at a credit union in Suisun City.
