Armed employees thwarted a robbery attempt at a Sunnyvale jewelry store, according to the city’s police department.
Officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the store on the 1000 block of East El Camino Real at 3:12 p.m. Friday, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said in a news release.
The would-be thieves used a vehicle to ram the building to gain entry, but fled in separate vehicles when confronted by armed employees, police said. No shots were fired, no items were taken, and no injuries were reported, police said…
