ATM Explosion at San Ramon Target Triggers FBI Involvement, Suspects at Large

Yesterday, an attempt to rob an ATM took a dangerous turn at the Target at 2610 Bishop Dr. in San Ramon. The San Ramon Police Department reported that perpetrators used an improvised explosive device (IED) to gain access to the cash machine. This incident, around 2:19 AM, fortunately left no injuries in its wake, yet caused significant damage within the store’s vicinity, near the eastern public entrance.

Following the explosion, law enforcement swiftly cordoned off the scene, and the FBI was brought in, due to the serious nature of the offense. The involvement of an explosive device in a commercial burglary is no small matter, and, thus, the San Ramon Police Department made sure to provide updated information through a social media post.
