Four arrested for gang-motivated beating, San Jose police say

(KRON) — Four known gang members are in custody for violently beating and robbing a man in the area of Loma Verde Drive and Winchester Boulevard in San Jose on the evening of May 22, according to the San Jose Police Department.

“[A] preliminary investigation revealed that multiple male suspects approached an adult male victim, made gang-related comments, and proceeded to violently assault the victim,” the San Jose Police Department said.

The suspects allegedly then stole the man’s property and ran before police arrived at the scene. Detectives investigating the crime obtained arrest warrants for four suspects.

Rats invade downtown Vallejo

On July 17, two of the suspects, 19-year-old Josiah Lopez-Villalobos and 18-year-old Eric Silva, were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for gang-motivated robbery and gun charges. Two more suspects, 19-year-old Alexis Orozco and an unnamed 16-year-old boy, were already in custody for a separate incident.
