Driver strikes and kills pedestrian in San Jose’s 21st traffic death of the year, police say

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorist in San Jose on Sunday night, police said.

The driver of a 2022 white Chevy truck was traveling northbound on King Road nearing Aldrich Way when he struck a man who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk around 10:13 p.m., the San Jose Police Department said. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

Authorities transported the victim, who sustained life-threatening injuries, to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said…
