Alameda Police Department (APD) enlisted the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to bring magic to our island over the weekend, turning one child’s dream of going to Disneyland into a reality.
What started as a small princess party with friends turned into a grand event. Sirens blared as a caravan of patrol cars, proudly serving as Princess Security, escorted real-life princesses to the celebration, according to an APD report on Facebook.
“The party was filled with sing-alongs, dancing, and a special story time,” APD reported. “The princesses read a one-of-a-kind book that ended with the biggest surprise of all—a trip to Disneyland!”
The child’s mother commented on the APD Facebook report, expressing her gratitude: “Thank you for your support in helping make our daughter’s wish come true and celebrating with her!”
APD responded in kind: “We couldn’t be happier to be there!” the department commented. “Thank you for having us along for the ride.”…
