Alameda County prosecutors on Thursdayplan to dismiss felony charges against eight of 11 defendants in the 2021 death of a schizophrenic man who was found unresponsive in his jail cell, according to the man’s family.
The move is set to reverse the decision of the former district attorney, Pamela Price, whose office filed the charges the same week voters recalled her in November 2023.
