Police in California say the suspect in an attempted bank robbery was apprehended “within minutes” on Wednesday thanks to the quick action of bank staff.
The Alameda Police Department said officers responded to the 500 block of Willie Stargell Avenue shortly after noon Wednesday for a report of a possible bank robbery. By the time they arrived, the suspect had already fled empty-handed.
