San Bruno police officers apprehended a 36-year-old South San Francisco man linked to a Los Angeles kidnapping case and seized a concealed, loaded firearm during a traffic stop, according to an official social media post by the San Bruno Police Department. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, when officers identified and intercepted a vehicle associated with the suspect as it approached a freeway entrance.
“Our weekday dayshift patrol team quickly located the vehicle as it attempted to merge onto the freeway,” the department announced in a Facebook post. “Officers safely stopped the vehicle and detained a 36-year-old male from South San Francisco, During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a loaded, unregistered firearm hidden under the center console.” The suspect was wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department for kidnapping with the use of a firearm.
