SFPD Apprehends Suspect in Hayward Home, Seizes Drugs and Firearms in Bay Area Drug Battle

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking within the Bay Area, the SFPD has taken into custody a suspect associated with the narcotics trade, as reported in a statement released by the San Francisco Police Department. This arrest follows an extensive investigation targeting drug activity specifically within the Bayview neighborhood.

During the operation that culminated in the search of a home in Hayward, officers discovered and confiscated an array of illegal substances including MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, and various prescription pills which have been linked to the street concoction known as “lean” or “sizzurp,” in addition to seizing a suite of illegal firearms, cash summing over $115,000, other contraband and this action reflects the department’s ongoing strategy to eradicate the flow of illegal drugs into San Francisco. Xavier Hardy-Gonzalves, the 35-year-old resident of the home, was the primary subject of the months-long probe, having been spotted by SFPD’s Narcotics Division and plainclothes officers before being arrested on Tuesday without incident.
