A.I. is already stealing jobs. A new study finds which workers are most impacted.

SAN DIEGO — Researchers at Stanford University say more and more companies are phasing out jobs due to artificial intelligence. Younger workers, aged 22-to-25, are feeling the brunt of it.

In a new study titled “Canaries in the Coal Mine? Six Facts about the Recent Employment Effects of Artificial Intelligence,” researchers found “substantial declines in employment for Gen Z workers.

Analyzing payroll data, researchers found that A.I. is now impacting the number of available jobs in software development and customer service fields. At the same time, jobs filled by more experienced workers are not seeing similar impacts, at least not yet…
