Vegetation fire blocks I-580 lanes on Altamont Pass
All eastbound Interstate 580 lanes were blocked due to a brush fire Friday afternoon in the Altamont Pass near Livermore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The blaze burned around 15 acres and forward progress was stopped by crews.
