An elderly woman died Monday, days after a driver crashed into her as she walked in a private parking lot in Mountain View, police said.
Officers found an 83-year-old woman, identified as Gayle Maehara Nakano of Palo Alto, conscious in the parking lot at 600 Showers Drive around 3:25 p.m. on Aug. 23, according to police. She was taken to a local hospital but died two days after the crash.
