Pleasanton shoppers will soon have only one Walmart to go to in the city after the company announced Tuesday it plans to close its other store location at the beginning of next month.
The decision to shutter the Walmart Neighborhood Market, located at 3112 Santa Rita Road, on Oct. 2 was “made after careful review”, according to Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield.
“The way customers want to be served is constantly changing, and we are evolving to meet their needs and serve them how, when and where they want,” Hatfield said. “We consider many factors, including the current portfolio mix, customer needs, financial performance and the proximity of other nearby stores.”…
