(KRON) — Police have arrested the driver who allegedly hit and killed a woman riding an e-scooter in San Jose near the intersection of Santa Clara and Cahill streets on Sept. 8.
The suspect, 33-year-old Justin Perez of San Jose, was driving a stolen Ram pickup truck at the time of the crash, according to the San Jose Police Department.

“The vehicle immediately fled the scene,” the San Jose Police Department said. “Officers conducted [a] follow-up and located the unoccupied suspect vehicle away from the scene.”
Perez was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges.
