S.F. jury convicts man of setting eight vehicles on fire

A jury convicted a man accused of setting multiple cars on fire in San Francisco last year, officials for the district attorney’s office said.

Armando Salvador, 63, was found guilty of eight counts of arson and two counts of unlawfully causing a fire, officials said Friday.

Salvador set six vehicles on fire on Feb. 18, 2024, on Campton Place, Geary Street and O’Farrell Street. Less than a week later, Salvador set two Teslas ablaze at Mabini and Bonifacio streets and Shipley and Fourth street, with the fires spreading to two other vehicles parked nearby…
