Mountain Mike’s Pizza, a West Coast-based chain known for its family-friendly atmosphere and classic pizzas, is preparing to open a new location in Union City at 31852 Alvarado Blvd.
The new restaurant is set to open in the former home of Round Table Pizza and Dollar Star, according to a recent liquor license application. Franchisee Gurpreet Buttar tells What Now San Francisco that the Union City location is slated for a December 2025 opening, pending final buildout and permitting. Customers can expect the chain’s signature offerings including specialty pizzas, wings, sandwiches, and a lunch buffet.
This isn’t Buttar’s first foray with the brand. In 2023, he and business partner Raj Gill opened a Mountain Mike’s in East Palo Alto, adding to their portfolio of five Bay Area locations, including sites in Fremont, Milpitas, and Belmont.
