Nine displaced after afternoon house fire in San Lorenzo

(KRON) — Nine people were displaced after a house fire on Monday afternoon in San Lorenzo, the Alameda County Fire Department said. The fire broke out around 1:47 p.m. at a residence on the 16000 block of Kent Avenue.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw the blaze make its way from the home’s exterior to the interior, ACFD said. The home’s residents were evacuated, and crews were able to knock the fire down within 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported, but the nine residents “will need a place to live,” ACFD wrote in an email. The Red Cross is assisting with the response.
