PG&E outages: Bay Area storm knocks out power to thousands. These areas were hit hardest

Stormy weather conditions raking across Northern California left thousands of Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers without power across the Bay Area Wednesday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m., the Chronicle’s PG&E outage map showed the largest concentration of  outages north of San Rafael near Mount Tamalpais State Park, the Muir Woods National Monument, San Anselmo and Nicasio in Marin County.

Pockets of San Francisco, the East Bay and the Peninsula also reported outages. The utility map shows up to 500 outages in San Francisco’s Westwood Highlands neighborhood, in San Bruno, in Loyola in Santa Clara County, Hayward and San Leandro…
