Utilities pole goes through car windshield on Northern California roadway

(FOX40.COM) — A vehicle’s windshield was punctured by a utility pole while traveling on State Route 99 last month, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, around 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, a 2022 Mitsubishi was stopped behind a freightliner on SR-99 north of Garner Lane. The vehicle then drove into the utility pole the truck was transporting, CHP said.

Photos posted to social media by CHP show where the pole smashed through the window on the passenger side of the vehicle.

CHP said it did not know how far the pole went into the vehicle but that a passenger in the front seat was not injured…
