On August 18, 2025, San José police responded to an incident on the 2900 block of Monterey Road. A white Ford pickup truck struck a parked food vendor vehicle several times. Three employees inside the food truck escaped without injury. The collision caused about $10,000 in damages. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
After an investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 27-year-old Orlando Rivero of San Jose. A warrant was issued, and on October 30, 2025, Rivero was arrested with help from the Special Operations Metro Unit.
