Authorities Search For Off-Leash Dog That Fatally Attacked Smaller, Leashed Dog At California Park

Authorities in California are searching for the owner of an unleashed dog that fatally attacked a smaller, leashed dog at a park late last month.

The Fremont Police Department said Animal Services is investigating the fatal dog attack that took place in Central Park near Lake Elizabeth at around 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 23. According to Animal Services, an off-leash dog accompanied by its owner attacked a small dog that was walking on leash with its owner.

The smaller dog was taken to a veterinarian, but succumbed to its injuries. Animal Services is working with the owner of the victim dog, but has not yet been able to identify the attacking dog or its owner…
