National Weather Service (NWS) forecast offices in California have said parts of the state could see rain by the evening, with showers continuing into Thursday.
The NWS Eureka office said on Monday that the heaviest rainfall was expected from midnight through 4 a.m. Thursday. Low-lying areas and urban areas could see minor flooding, it said. There would also be an increased potential for mud and rock slides, it added.
