Alameda County Sheriff Seeks New Leads in 45-Year-Old Cold Case of Ronald Forest in Hayward

It has been 45 years since 31-year-old Ronald Forest was found deceased in the backyard of his Hayward home on Kelly Street. On November 20, 1980, Forest’s body was discovered around 9:14 PM, launching an investigation that, over four decades later, remains unresolved. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office has recently issued a call for assistance in solving the cold case, hoping that new information might finally bring closure to this long-standing mystery.
