A motorcyclist from Gustine in Merced County was killed on the morning of Nov. 10 when he lost control of his bike and was struck by a trailing vehicle on Highway 101 in San Jose, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at 8:46 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Capitol Avenue. The victim, identified as 43-year-old Angelo Cardoso, died at the scene.
Investigators said Cardoso lost control of his motorcycle and went down in the roadway. A 2018 Kia Soul SUV traveling behind him struck Cardoso and then overturned. The driver of the Kia was not seriously injured, according to the CHP…
