Half Moon Bay bar brawl stabbing suspect arrested

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (KRON) — Nearly two months after a person was stabbed during a large fight at the Old Princeton Landing bar and restaurant in Half Moon Bay, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that a Redwood City resident was identified as the stabbing suspect and has been arrested.

Miguel L. Rodriguez, 40, was taken into custody on East Bayshore Road in Redwood City on Tuesday in connection with the October 5 stabbing. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Photos of Rodriguez were released to the public by the sheriff’s office one day after the stabbing in an attempt to identify him. Community tips helped identify Rodriguez and an arrest warrant was obtained in late November, authorities said.

The 29-year-old victim in the stabbing was hospitalized for their injuries. They have since been discharged from the hospital, authorities said…
