Exclusive: A look inside the Bay Area’s newest Japanese supermarket

(KRON) — When Osaka Marketplace opened its first location in Fremont in 2021, there were questions about how well the community would receive the East Bay’s first Japanese supermarket.

Four years later, Osaka Marketplace has become known in the Bay Area and satisfied the region’s appetite for a grocery store specializing in Japanese products. Next week, the supermarket officially opens its second Bay Area location in Foster City.
