Intel trims more South Bay jobs as chip maker seeks to steady the ship

SANTA CLARA — Intel has decided to slash dozens of jobs in the South Bay as the company moves to reduce its workforce while attempting to keep and acquire talented workers.

The tech company revealed it cut 59 jobs, all in Santa Clara, where the company has its headquarters. The cuts took place on Nov. 30, but were posted to the state Employment Development Department website this week.
