Northern California’s three-week dry spell looks like it will end with a bang.
Confidence is growing that the second half of December will feature a flurry of storms from the Bay Area to the Sierra Nevada. It’s too early to say just how much rain and snow will fall, but the atmosphere is expected to transition to a pattern that favors Northern California for significant precipitation through the end of 2025.
A windier pattern will also wipe away the relentless tule fog that has gripped the Central Valley for weeks and knock out the temperature inversions that have kept the valleys cool and the mountains warm…
