Last Saturday, a pedestrian tragedy occurred in San Jose, marking the city’s 36th fatal collision of the year. According to the San José Police Department, a silver 2007 Mercedes SUV struck a male pedestrian at the intersection of Technology Place and North First Street. Sadly, the pedestrian’s injuries proved fatal, and he was declared dead at the scene. This incident also represents the 18th pedestrian to have been killed in traffic-related accidents in San José for the year 2025. The identity of the decedent has yet to be released, pending confirmation by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner.
