A pedestrian was killed this week in Fremont after being struck by a car, authorities said.
According to a Fremont Police Department news release, about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to a major injury collision on Fremont Boulevard, just south of Delaware Drive, and found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. Police and other first responders tried to help the victim, who died at a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with police, according to the department’s news release.
