(KRON) — The holidays are nearly here, and BART will be running on a special schedule to get passengers to their destinations throughout the Bay Area.
BART will run a mix of regular weekday service and Sunday service schedules for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

BART’s Christmas schedule
On Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24, BART will be running on a regular weekday schedule from 5 a.m. to midnight. BART will operate on a Sunday schedule, 8 a.m. to midnight, on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25.
BART will resume a regular weekday schedule for the day after Christmas on Friday, Dec. 26.
BART’s New Year’s schedule
On New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31, BART will run a regular weekday schedule with extended late-night service, extra staffing and addition trains.
BART will implement a three-line special service for New Year’s Eve. Only yellow, blue and orange lines will run in both directions for a total of six trains for 1 a.m. extended service…
