(KRON) — A hiker who went missing on Christmas Eve in Edgewood Park in Redwood City has been located by search and rescue personnel.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Joseph Conway was hiking Wednesday night when he became lost. Conway had a cellphone and was able to call for help around 9:40 p.m., but his battery died while he was on the phone.

Deputies and San Mateo County Parks rangers searched throughout the night. Shortly after 10 a.m., sheriff’s office officials told KRON4 that he had been located and “is believed to be in good health, despite being wet, cold and tired.”
