(KRON) — An earthquake shook in the East Bay Sunday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). A preliminary 2.8-magnitude earthquake was reported near San Ramon at around 11:56 a.m.
The epicenter was 5 kilometers, or more than 3 miles, southeast of San Ramon. USGS reported the earthquake’s depth was 6.5 kilometers (or about 4.03 miles).
