(KRON) — A pursuit of vehicle theft suspects in San Ramon late Monday resulted in multiple police cars being rammed and an officer hospitalized, according to the San Ramon Police Department. Two of four suspects were taken into custody.
San Ramon detectives were conducting a stakeout near Kyler Court and Kyler Lane after receiving information that suspects wanted for multiple vehicle burglaries and stolen vehicles were likely to return to the area. At around 11:11 p.m., four suspects arrived inside a black Volkswagen Jetta. Detectives initiated a vehicle stop, and the driver fled at a high rate of speed into multiple San Ramon PD vehicles. One officer suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
