A 63-year-old hiker who went missing on Christmas Eve was found cold and wet but otherwise in good health on Christmas morning, authorities said.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Joseph Conway was hiking in Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve near Redwood City on the evening of Dec. 24 when he became lost. At around 9:40 p.m. he used his cell phone to call for help, but the battery died during the call.
Deputies and San Mateo County Parks rangers immediately began searching, and the sheriff’s office released Conway’s image on social media, asking residents in the area to check any home security video…
